DO’S
Read, understand and obey the job description for your post.
Sign on duty in the Attendance Book / Check in using iRep (Electronic Attendance System) at the beginning of each shift and off duty, when relieved or leaving the site.
Be on duty in full, clean, correct uniform 10 minutes before your shift begins (shirt must be tucked in).
Make sure you carry your Private Security Identification Card in a manner where the particulars on the Identification Card are clearly exposed to view.
Keep all gates/doors closed and locked when they are not used or attended.
Perform a careful perimeter patrol of the premises at the beginning and end of each duty shift.
Be alert, tactful and courteous when dealing with staff and visitors.
Report any unusual occurrences to the Manager and record them in the respective documents.
Notify the Operations Manager if your relief has not arrived 10 minutes before he is due.
Ensure that the Guard Room is neat and clean at all times.
In the event of an emergency, inform Control at Tel: 6291 7464 / 9002 6729 / 9007 0861 and call the relevant authorities (Refer to Emergency Contact List).
Assist the authorities upon their arrival.
DON’TS
Report for duty whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other intoxicating substances, nor enter the premises after hours whilst under the influence of any of the above.
Leave your post unattended during the course of your duty shift. A relief guard must take over whilst you are absent from your post.
Sleep while on duty.
Get into or move any vehicle without authorization of your manager.
Remove any keys from designated areas or interfere with or damage any Security equipment.
Interfere with or damage any security or other equipment.
Make unauthorized phone calls.
Be absent from work without permission.
Leave your post unless you have relief to take over from you.
Borrow any money from fellow employees.
Give any false representation to any person regarding your level of training, skill or qualifications.
